Pronounced like βwinβ a game; itβs Welsh for friend.
Why McIntosh Art Co.? My dad started McIntosh Art Co., an art supply store, before I was born in the early 70βs in a smallish town in the Rockies. I have fond memories of visiting him and meeting the artists that shopped there (like Theodore Waddell), having access to all of the art supplies a girl could ever want and the pride he took in his displays and business. He died at age 46 so I didnβt get to know him well but I named my business after his since he was my art influence.
I studied marketing, graphic design and black and white film photography before grad school and the artist in me was reignited. I've created letterpress wedding packages, birth announcements, websites, logos, branding packages, event posters, team or group apparel products, business cards, and acted as a consultant and art director for several professional photographersβ webpages.
Iβm now located in Seattle, Washington after stints in The Bay Area, San Diego, New York, Germany, Colorado, and Portland and my focus has become photography. I love natural light, documentary and lifestyle photography, including birth, newborn fresh 48 (photos within 48 hours of birth at the birthing location), family, sports, editorial and documentary street photography. Iβm always up for an adventure for capturing connection and authenticity.
Iβm always listening to an audiobook or podcast and Iβm never caught up on laundry with four kids. I love skiing, kicking a ball around, and finding the best food wherever Iβm traveling.
My former life included playing soccer professionally in the USA and Germany, coaching NCAA Division I soccer (two National Championships), stints in marketing at adidas and Salomon, and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
